While converting our school bus into a home, you have to consider who you’ll be traveling with. For us, it’s our daughter Aria, and our sweet dogs, Luna, Bodhi and Webster. Life on the road with a child and furbabies means making sure they are comfortable, happy and have everything they need.
A spot in the bus for just Aria, where she can sleep, play and learn, is of utmost importance. We’re working together to create a cozy space that is all hers. A child needs a place for their toys, their clothes and their studies. A comfy bed and a sense of safety is key.
Three dogs, who love to experience this life together, with three humans in a bus means planning well. They each need a place to nap, to eat and to see out the windows, while we travel. Their environment is everything and we need to keep it warm in the cool months and cool in the warm months. Their items need a place to be organized and stored.
These are just some of the things to consider when building a skoolie home for our little ones. We’ll be documenting and sharing more of our bus build and the spaces for Aria and the doggies. If you plan to be traveling with kids or pets, see our Instagram page for even more from the conversion.
We believe that together as a family, we are building a bright and exciting future. We will learn so much and tweak things as we go. Stay tuned for more from our Groovy Little Bus Life adventure!
